It is an excellent source of information regarding public moorage, marine parks and yacht club reciprocals.

Three Tree Point Yacht Club Reciprocal Moorage Privileges

Tom Spohn
Past Commodore
Chair

There are often restrictions on using other YC's moorage. Please consult the visiting club or its website (see links below) for current limitations and status.

Details:  TTPYC offers free moorage on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis, for two boats per night at the Des Moines Marina, for up to two nights per month per boat (one stay), to current members of other yacht clubs that have reciprocal privileges with TTPYC.

Members of these Yacht Clubs desiring moorage at the Des Moines Marina should contact the marina gas-dock attendant on duty or the Marina Manager at the Marina Office (large white building at north end near flag pole) to ascertain moorage availability (two boats per night, space permitting), complete the Des Moines Marina moorage registration form, and pay moorage.
Members may stay two nights maximum, per visit. One moorage per boat per month is allowed.  Club Burgee should be flown.  Privilege is for moorage only; any other fees, utility charges, etc. are the yacht club member's responsibility.

Please submit the
completed, signed moorage registration form, receipt and a copy of yacht club membership card to Three Tree Point Yacht Club Attention: Treasurer, PO Box 98700, Des Moines, WA 98198.  Reimbursement is based on first received per day per boat, according to the criteria above.
Radio and phone calls and other communications should be to the Des Moines Marina.

The north beach, numerous shore-side restaurants, and shops exist within walking distance of the marina. For those staying at our marina in Des Moines, prior to visiting, check out this website for current events information.

Three Tree Point Yacht Club offers free, reciprocal moorage privileges to members of Yacht Clubs who offer reciprocal privileges to TTPYC Members.

I suggest that if you keep a boat at the Des Moines Marina that you take the time to read the Master Plan (Section 4).  The City of Des Moines has a comprehensive plan to make Des Moines a destination point for South Puget Sound boaters.  It does, however, greatly affect the overall number of small slips (20 and 24 foot), the public launch facility and the dry sheds at the Marina.
